Ep: 'Time'

‘Hey’

Stevic watched as his childhood friend woke up.

‘It’s been seven years since then…’

‘Stevic?’

‘Yeah?’

‘What happened in those years?’

‘Not much; a few small events here and there…’

Stevic avoided telling Tyde that the world had ended.

However, she picked up on his intent.

‘What are you hiding from me?’

‘I’ll save that for when you feel better’

‘Where are we?’

‘Not too sure.’

Stevic deliberately excluded Tyde’s attack.

Knowing that the area was likely unsafe, Stevic carried Tyde to the nearest exit.

Tyde asked Stevic

‘Where are we going?’

‘No clue. Anywhere but here. I’ll say more later.’

Entering a portal in the room, Stevic stepped out into the cold outside.

‘We’re almost there, Tyde. Just a bit farther.’

A robot attacked. Stevic set Tyde down gently and proceeded to decapitate the robot in a single strike.

‘What is that?’

Stevic was unsure of how to answer.

‘Just some evil robots that appeared at some point.’

Stevic tried to make his answer seem casual.

Tyde knew that there was more to it, but avoided prying any further.

After a brief walk, Stevic and Tyde reached the entrance to the underground city.

Three days later, Tyde made a full recovery.

During this time, Stevic nursed her back to health.

Tyde decided to follow Stevic, as there weren’t many safe places to go to in the destroyed world.

He also described the state of the world.

At the end of the conversation, Tyde gave thanked Stevic.

‘Thanks for telling me about all this. You’re very skilled. If anyone can restore the world, it’s you.’

Bu in his mind, all Stevic wanted was for Tyde to be happy; he wanted the destruction gone, he wanted the fear of losing Tyde gone, and he longed for the time when he didn’t need to fight the robots.

But the world wasn’t simple going to hand him a peaceful future. He knew that.

And so he prepared to resume his fight.
